Many local residents were called in to testify in the grand jury case against Commissioner Sammie Sias. Despite all of the charges many residents continue to call for his acquittal and several have even called for the renaming of the Jamestown Community Center in honor him.
“Sias built this place. Even if he stole money from the city while building, I don’t care” one resident stated.
“Even if Sias is found guilty he is still our guy. We would vote for him again”.
Sias upon hearing the new was gleeful and proclaimed that he was announcing his run for mayor now for 2030 when he is expected to be released from prison.
“Jail will better prepare me for the job of mayor,” he was heard saying. “I am going to take a page out of Charles Walker’s playbook.”
