After people refused to get the vaccine even with a $100 gift card incentive, the city of Augusta was left with thousands of gift cards. Since their attempts to return the gift cards to Walgreens failed, they came up with a new plan. Give them to sperm bank donors.
Mayor Davis stated that he hoped the sperm bank donations would help solve the declining population problem in Richmond County. “I’m so excited that this robust program will be used that I might even make my own donation,” Davis said. “After all what could be better than a bunch of Hardie Davis clones running around the county. We will even allow multiple donations but only from demographics we want in the county.”
Administrator Odie Donald stated that he would rather the cards be disseminated to the staff as a Christmas bonus, but the FBI frowned on that notion. Many of the cards have already disappeared.
