In 2010 Steven Kendrick’s office had $25,000 go missing from the cities safe. It now looks like the money was being held in Marco’s Pizza safe on Fury’s Ferry Road.

One of the thiefs mentioned that their motive was that they intended to donate the money to Kendricks campaign in return for an appointment to a city board.

Kendrick stated, “I am thrilled the money was found. I had to raise property taxes because of the missing money.”

A second thief under interrogation stated that they knew the money was in the restaurant safe. “Why else would we rob Marcos,” one stated.

In total the thieves made off with the $25,000 from the safe, another $225 from the register, two large stuffed crust pepperonis, and some of that garlic stuff.
