Being very careful to stay under the $5,000 procurement department threshold, Mayor Hardie Davis has decided to hire AOC to promote the highly unpopular storm water tax.
“We need to the storm water tax to help us reduce the amount of rainfall Augusta is receiving,” Davis stated.
“Furthermore I was blown away by the success that her white dress brought her and figured we needed to get in on some of that here in Augusta,” Davis said.
The dress was modified from saying “Tax the Rich” to say “Tax the Storm Water” in an effort to bring awareness to the need to increase storm water fees in the county according to Davis.
Despite trouble finding receipts for charges Davis was actually able to provide the credit card receipt for the transaction.
AOC commented that she believes the mayors plan is a solid one and should help reduce rainfall levels in the south Augusta part of the county where storm water infrastructure rarely exists.
