Mayor Hardie Davis is frequently a patron of Honey Baked Ham among other local fast-food restaurants. Everyone is aware of this fact because he is constantly using his government issued credit card to buy himself lunch at the quick service food joints.
This past week a copy of Davis’s resume was found crumpled between the cushions inside the local eatery. It’s unclear if Davis was admiring the resume while dining or editing the document.
When uncrumpled there were handwritten notes in the margins outlining his title as mayor to “King Mayor Hardie” as well as another section that had handwritten notes as “managed multiple credit card budgets” and “successfully audited myself”.
Davis is more than likely sharpening his resume for his next position after being mayor. More than likely, he will be hired as a consultant to the city procurement or finance department. Both jobs would pay better than what Davis makes now unless you factor in all of the fringe benefits, he has been getting with his credit cards over the years.
